When we call a girl “bossy” or a woman “intimidating” what are we really communicating to and about her? We talk about our experiences of being called “bossy” growing up while taking on the movement for complementarian theology and some of the women in the church who advocate for it. We talk about the importance of raising girls up as leaders, both within their faith communities and outside of them.
