Episode 55. “Who Jesus Is to Us”

February 18, 2021 by Katey Zeh

Episode Summary

We take on one of the big questions of the Christian faith: who is Jesus (to us)? We go back to childhood nativity stories and Easter mornings and bring it to current day, exploring everything we were taught about Jesus the baby, the man, and the divine savior. We talk about theology, pop culture, the pressure to fit in, what salvation is al about, and what it means for us to follow Jesus now (or not).

Episode Notes and Resources

“We try to control Jesus by limiting our theological image of him, and people who try to live for Jesus end up with a very limited imagination concerning what Creator expects and what is possible in our world.”

-Dr. Randy Woodley and Bo Sanders, Decolonizing Evangelicalism
